Floor Cutting

General requirements to cut a guide path:

Floor should be free of existing mounted equipment and debris. Free of buried anchors, rebar, rail, angle iron and conduit within two inches of the surface and along the guide path.

NO other guide path wires or return lines should run parallel to the guide path - within 36" of one another.

Generally the floor cut will be 3/8" deep x 1/8" wide. The wire loop from the line driver should consist of - 18 gauge copper / 19 strand wire and be installed taught (no kinks or bends) within the floor groove.

An epoxy or suitable sealant should be used to close the cut and encase the wire.
